Beware the Cat o' Death!

If you see this little guy, run the other way. He's cute, but not cuddly unless you're two to four hours from dying. Something funny, if you click here to the website reporting on Oscar, then mouseover the picture, there's a caption popup.

So, if there's a cat following you around, won't leave you alone, you might want to rethink your health-related lifestyle. Just sayin'.

We had an animal program when I worked for the acute-care chain, and believe it or not, it's not all that uncommon for the animals to pick up on something that we humans don't see when a patient is about to pass on. They know, somehow...!

In many animistic traditions, cats are psychopomps, they can travel freely between the worlds. Maybe Oscar is there to escort the patient during his transition. Who knows? [shrug]

Could be, Kay, could be. Stranger things happen.

He looks like our Claude in the face. The only thing Claude can predict is when I'll open a can of cat food.
